We are a boutique catering service, that is both affordable and innovative, keeping up with modern trends, while maintaining a core practice of surpassing industry standards.
Every menu can be customized and created on individual needs for the style of event you’re in need of catering services for. In addition to this, we provide a seamless event of matching decor and design, even working with our own florist to offer the assurance to you and your guests, that you planned your event with every i dotted, and t crossed.
Originating out of the “Incubator Kitchen” at East End Market in Audubon Park, we worked amongst other cutting-edge young companies, fostering an environment of camaraderie and innovation, not competition.
In December of 2019, we moved into our new Kitchen at 2942 Curry Ford Rd, and opened Uncommon Catering & Eatery in February 2020! We have since closed the lunch Eatery to focus on catering and our daughter, but offer space for private events (schedule pending). Keep an eye on our socials for and pop-up dinner services and wine dinners!

As a boutique caterer, we limit the number of parties we take, so that our clients get every bit of attention they deserve. Your event is a reflection of what we love to do.

Since we are a boutique caterer, you start with us, and end with us. We are your first point of contact, and the "Thank You" hug at the end of the night.

Planning your wedding? Join us for our Bridal Tasting Experience!
We offer a one-of-a-kind tasting experience like no other.
Instead of individual tastings, we host a group tasting that allows couples to taste a wide array of our offerings.
At our intimate, yet casual, group tasting, we sample 30-40 of our individual dishes. We describe it as our “Tasting Experience”, used as both a menu selection forum, and also our way of spoiling Brides & Grooms, who rarely get to sit back and enjoy their wedding cuisine.
Meet Uncommon Catering
With more than 25 years of experience each, 13 of which has been spent side-by-side, Travis Smith and Tara Vernau-Smith decided that the only way to bring their innovative vision of food and service to life would be to form their own catering company, established in 2015.
